About BIO CIRCLE

BIO CIRCLE aims at increasing the participation of researchers from outside Europe in research projects under the Food, Agriculture, Fisheries and Biotechnology theme (FAFB) of the 7th Framework Programme (FP7).

Why international research cooperation?

Research in the FAFB theme often addresses challenges that are of global interest. Take, for instance, livestock diseases common to South America, Africa and China, or plants pests that occur in Australia, India and North America. To find the best solutions to these problems, collaboration is needed between researchers from around the world.

What does BIO CIRCLE do for you?

• BIO CIRCLE organises training for researchers from outside Europe interested in FAFB research projects. You will understand FP7 and get to know the scientific and administrative aspects of FP7 research projects. BIO CIRCLE also keeps you updated on new opportunities to participate in international FAFB research projects.
   
• BIO CIRCLE assists researchers from outside Europe to improve their visibility in Europe. This is done through an (online) catalogue of researcher profiles that is made available European project coordinators.
   
• BIO CIRCLE helps researchers from outside Europe to network with European researchers: 2 large Brokerage Events will be organised in Europe.
   
• BIO CIRCLE helps to identify collaborative research opportunities: roundtables will be organised to collect research topics that are of common interest – and often of global concern!
