Food and nutrition in 21st century
the international Conference "Food and nutrition in 21st century" is a flagship event organized within the framework of Polish Presidency of the EU Council, under the patronage of the President of the Republic of Poland, and in close collaboration with the European Commission.
The general objective of the conference is to identify major
trends in food and nutrition research and technology and to provide
recommendations for European research and innovation policy in
these areas. To achieve this, we plan to gather all relevant
stakeholders, including researchers, representatives of agri-food
industry, consumer groups and policy makers, and to stimulate an
overall discussion on main challenges to the European bio-economy
in the light of EU policies, in particular these pertaining to food
industry, agriculture, climate change, food safety and security, as
well as the impact of a diet on health and well-being of European
citizens.
Venue
The conference will be held in splendid premises of the Royal
Castle located at the heart of the Warsaw at the entrance to the
Old Town.
Site visit and conference diner
During the first day the participants will have an opportunity for
a site visit to the horticultural research centre in Skierniewice
and to food enterprises located nearby. In the evening a conference
diner will be offered to all participants.
Language
The official language of the Conference will be English.
Simultaneous translation to Polish will be provided as well.
